Do's and Don'ts
Do's and Don'ts
➥ Chemically Treated Hair: Henna may take longer to show vibrant results on chemically treated hair because it’s more porous. This means the hair cuticles are lifted, causing the color to fade faster or not absorb as well.
Signs: Dryness, split ends, and hair that feels dry even after oiling or using masks.
Solution: Be patient and avoid chemicals while using henna to allow your hair to recover.
➥ First-Time Users: Reapply henna 8-10 days after the first use for a deeper stain. Henna works in layers.
➥ Regular Application Schedule: Apply henna every 25-30 days to keep color and hair healthy.
➥ Allow Henna to Set: Henna darkens over 24 hours. Avoid shampooing for 1 day after application.
➥ For Prolonged Color: Use sulfate-free shampoo and wash only your scalp to preserve the color. Apply oil only to your scalp (like watering plant roots). Shampoo less frequently to help the color last longer.
